    Hi!

Thanks for this nice little app!

I have one big issue with it though, please add an option to newer remove any files!

The exclude labels option does not work well enough and It’s just tom much of a hassle to add everything as an exclusion :)

    I’d really appreciate it!
Also I’d be very happy to make a donation if it’s possible.

Thanks for the suggestion Daniel! I will add a do not remove any files feature as soon as I can and update the site once it is complete.

If you would like to make a donation, there is a donate button on the bottom right hand corner of the homepage. Thank you very much for your support!

    Thanks for the support Daniel!

I have uploaded a new build with the feature you requested – please test it and let me know if it does what you require.

Hi thanks for adding the feature :)

I am having some issues, perhaps not specifically caused by downsort though.

In my setup all files are downloaded to a “Download” folder, this folder also contains files downloaded previously that I haven’t sorted or just don’t care about.

When downsort is started via utorrents “start a program” function it tries to unpack ALL files in my download folder!
Not only the one that just finished downloading.

I tried messing with the %D parameter and repalcing it with %N and %F, also tried combining them like %D\%N or %D\%F.
This just causes different issues, like downsort not finding the correct file to extract or is unable to extract it to any folder etc.

So, not certain this is Downsorts fault :)
Might as well be utorrents, of perhaps I’m just asking for to much.

My intention was to have downsort unrar ONLY the file taht was currently finished, unpack it to a specific folder (or just any folder) and the quit.
Perhaps it’s just not possible, perhaps the string that utorrent passes to Downsort is not enough to accomplish this since downloaded torrents can look so very differently (one file in one archive, several files within a folder within a archive etc etc.)

Hi, sorry to hear about your issues – I think it might be caused by the type of download, if it is just a single file then it might not work as intended and I will have to look at how Downsort handles that.

If the download had a folder than the %D parameter should be enough to extract only the current download. So, in your case if you download something which has a folder and multiple rars contained within that folder Downsort will use the following path
    path\to\Download\Current Download\firstrar.rar

Can you please have a look in the log and see if there is any information there that might be useful, perhaps paste the errors here.

Hi, how to use it when rar file needs a password?

    • admin says:

      Hi,

Unfortunatly extracting files protected by password is not support at this stage. This is by design as the application was meant to be automated – changing password everytime defeats the purpose. I may look into this later on, but at this stage password support is not planned.
